Collaboration to Design an Innovative Curriculum for Animation Education

The main aim of the project is to create a new and updated BA curriculum for Erciyes University, Visual Communication Design Department, Cartoons and Animation Major. And doing so, Erciyes University wants to build a new and strong partnership with other Universities from Turkey and Europe.After the analyses of the situation in the professional animation sector as well as other animation programmes if Animation in Europe (with a focus on Turkey) a new BA curriculum and samples of programme materials will be developed.The main innovative and complementary aspects of «Collaboration to Design an Innovative Curriculum for Animation Education (CDICAE)» are following:-First of all the approach of the Project consists in designing training and educational tools (Intellectual Outputs) all based on non-formal learning, while aiming to have an inclusive outcome for all the students and educators.

Analysis on labour market needs and

expectation from Animation EducationS

In the long term this will improve graduates’ employability.-A specific Curriculum and new course material on animation for closing the needs on labour market is really needed and would be very innovative for the partners.All educational and training toolsdeveloped in the project will be at free disposal on easy using and disseminating digital formats.
